Purpose
  - Development of 6,000m depth-rated ROV and AUV
    systems for deep-sea oceanographic survey
  - Development of design technologies and core
    technologies of unmanned underwater
    vehicle (ROV, AUV): Design and manufacturing
    technologies, remote control, robot-arm control,
    intelligent control, underwater navigation, and
    underwater docking technologies

Research results
  - Development of 6,000m depth-rated deep-sea
    ROV HEMIRE and depressor HENUVY
  - Development of 100m class ISIMI AUV100 and
    6,000m depth-rated ISIMI AUV6000
  - Research on the cold-seeping area at the East Sea
    with HEMIRE ROV
  - 73 domestic & international journal papers, and 13
    registered patents
