| The Ocean System Engineering Research Department provides key engineering technologies for the development of ocean resources and deep-sea survey, and for the marine information telecommunication and ubiquitous maritime logistics. Core technologies involve basic technologies such as technologies for designing ocean surveying equipments, and technologies for navigation and intelligent control of underwater vehicles (ROV, AUV, underwater robots), technologies for deep-seabed mining, technologies for underwater acoustic communication, technologies for marine information and communication, and technologies of ubiquitous maritime logistics.
