To realize safe and clean ocean is the final goal of Marine Safety & Pollution Response Research Department. For these, various safety technologies for maritime accident prevention, IT-based e-navigation technology as well as salvage and pollution control technology have been developed in order to minimize the possible damages of maritime accident. Based on these, CO©üsequestration technology, marine debris treatment technology, ship ballast water treatment technology, and maneuvering performance prediction technology of surface ships and submerged vehicles and technology for unmanned vehicles are being developed.
