Oil Spill Response Equipment Test Facility/Hyperbaric Chamber
  MOERI¡¯s Hyperbaric Chamber
MOERI has a double-ended monobloc type hyperbaric chamber and will establish plate yoke type (automatically operated) hyperbaric chamber in 2009. This facility can reproduce pressure conditions of the deep sea down to a 6,000-m depth . It is used for the pressure-resistant test to increase the reliability of deep-sea instruments and materials. And testing in this facility can save lot of time and money for qualifying deep-sea instruments.

  Dimension & Characteristics
    - Name of the facility : Double-Ended Monobloc Chamber / Plate Yoke Chamber
- Operating Pressure : Max. 600bar (Both)
- Medium: Fresh water & Oil / Water with added Corrosive Resistant Inhibitor
- Inside Diameter : 800 mm (Both)
- Inside Length : 1,340mm / 2,108 mm
- Pressurization speed : 10 - 100bar/min (Both)

  Research Fields and Main Function
    - Pressure tolerance tests and test operations of deep-sea instruments
