Oil Spill Response Equipment Test Facility/Hyperbaric Chamber
MOERI¡¯s Oil Spill Response Test Facility

Various Types of oil response equipments and oil recovery vessels have been being developed in Korea since 1990s to effectively response to oil spill accidents. In this country, however, we could not be able to carry out performance tests of oil response control facilities until "Oil Spill Response Equipment Test Facility" was constructed in 2000. This test facility is used to quantify measurable capabilities of oil recovery systems such as oil skimmers, oil booms and oil/water separators etc. prior to both their development and selection.
