Thank you for your visiting MOERI website, and appreciate your hearty support and concerns as a business partner and a customer. MOERI (Maritime & Ocean Engineering Research Institute) as an affiliated research institute of KORDI (Korea Ocean Research and Development Institute) has been doing pioneering and challenging R&D in the field of ship and offshore technologies during its history over 30 years.
As a state-support research institute, MOERI also makes every effort to support the government policy and national needs for ocean development & preservation, and marine safety.
It includes the development of facilities & equipments for ocean resources exploitation, the development of ocean space and energy utilization techniques, the development of technologies of maritime safety, and the development of marine pollution and disaster countermeasures. MOERI also supports the needs from naval research fields, and ocean scientific research fields.
With leading-edge research facilities such as towing tank, large cavitation tunnel, ocean engineering basin, maritime simulator, sea-bed research basin, acoustic research chamber and deep-sea going ROV, MOERI also keeps its efforts to be a center of excellence in the fields of hydrodynamics, underwater robotics, modeling and simulation, and high speed vessel development.
Sea is the origin of life, an international trade hub and a treasure house of food and resources. We together should try to preserve the values of the sea and to ensure the sustainable development of the sea.
